Smith County Weather Report – June 11, 2020

June 11, 2020

by Steve Norris, Smith County Insider Weather Correspondent

Beautiful weather is going to be the rule through the weekend with high pressure over the state of Tennessee bringing a little lower temperatures and humidity. Afternoon highs will be around 82 and dropping to 58 at night…beautiful weather for outdoor activities!

Here is something you may not be aware of: the National Weather Service in Nashville offers online advanced storm spotter classes that you can take from your home computer. The class is no more than 2 hours at the most, and it is very interesting and free. If you want to sign up go to www.weather.gov/ohx/skywarn and if you are still having trouble finding the site, go to the Nashville Weather Service and you will see it listed under news headlines at the top of the page. There will be an advanced class on June 16th at 7:00 p.m., and this is the last class of the season, so be sure not to miss it!
