Smith County Schools to offer free summer meals in June

May 20, 2020

The Smith County School System made sure that children were fed while schools were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and that free meal program will continue into the summer.

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to any child age 18 or younger from June 1 thru June 25, 2020.

Meal pickup will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the month. Pickup locations are at Defeated Elementary School, Gordonsville Elementary School, Smith County High School, and Union Heights Elementary School.

Each child will receive three breakfasts and three lunches at a time on meal pickup days.

Additionally, meals may be purchased for adults at the price of $2.25 for breakfast and $3.75 for lunch.
