The Smith County School Board has approved the 2024-2025 School Calendar. Students will return to school after summer break for a half-day on August 1, 2025, marking the start of a new academic year. Fall Break will provide a chance to relax and recharge from October 13–17, 2025, while Thanksgiving Break will offer time for family and gratitude from November 24–28, 2025.
As the holiday season approaches, students will have a half-day on December 19 before starting Christmas Break, which runs from December 22, 2025, to January 6, 2026. After the winter months, Spring Break is scheduled for March 23–27, 2026. The school year will wrap up on May 22, 2026, with a final half-day of classes.
