The Smith County School Board approved the 2020/2021 School Calendar during the board’s November meeting on Tuesday night.
After summer break, students will return to school for a half-day on August 5, 2020. Fall Break will be October 16 – October 23, 2020, and Thanksgiving Break will be November 25-27, 2020. Students will go for a half-day on December 18, followed by Christmas Break on December 21, 2020 – January 1, 2021. Spring Break will be March 29 – April 2, 2021.
There will be no school on September 7, 2020, January 18, 2021, or February 15, 2021, in observance of federal holidays.
Administrative Days will be held on July 31, 2020, August 6, 2020, January 4, 2021, and May 24, 2021. A Professional Development Day will be held on November 3, 2020.
The final half-day of the school year will be May 25, 2021.
