(Smith County Insider Press) Granville, Tenn. – On Friday night, November 18, the Smith County Rescue Squad was called to assist Jackson County Rescue Squad in searching for a missing man.
Jerry Bowles, of Sparta, left home Friday to go fishing at Salt Lick Boat Ramp and never returned home. Water Rescue and Search teams were called to Granville Boat Ramp to help search for Bowles. Smith County and Jackson County Rescue Squad members found Bowles deceased in the lake near his boat of apparent heart attack.
