Smith County Owls District Rematch with Watertown

April 30, 2021

The Smith County Owls only had one game this week.  The district rematch with Watertown was played Thursday night at the SC Soccer Complex.  The prior Thursday the Owls won at Watertown 9-1 and they certainly wanted to hold onto their record at home.  The game started with that very message as two minutes in Mohammed Abou Rahma sent the first score in from the right giving Smith County the edge.  At the 21 minute mark the Owls were awarded a penalty kick taken by Gabe Boyce.  Smith County now had a 2-0 lead.  They comfortably kept that cushion along with Keep Andrew Denney insuring a clean sheet for the rest of the game with that being the final.

The JV played next with the only score of that game coming from Owl Christian Santiago.  Smith County Keeps Samuel Ramirez and Jeremiah McKinney kept the Owl goal clean.  Watertown would travel home with the loss.

Next is district match between Smith County and York at the SC Soccer Complex.  This will also be Senior Night so let’s pack the park for our Senior Owls.
