Smith County Insider and the American Legion Post 57 hosted the Smith County Candidate Forum and Meet & Greet on Monday night, June 4, 2018.
The event began at 6:00 PM with a meet & greet. At 7:00 PM, the forum began and candidates running for County Commission, School Board, South Carthage Mayor, Register of Deeds, County Clerk, Sheriff, Smith County Mayor, State Representative, State Senate, and US Congress spoke for 3 minutes.
The Smith County Mayor candidates were allowed to speak for three minutes, then they were each asked a question and had two minutes to respond to the question. See the video of the Smith County Mayor’s portion of the forum below:
