2020 Smith County Lady Owls, Managers, and Coaches
The Smith County Lady Owls Soccer Team has earned their third District 7A championship in four years. Thursday, October 15, 2020, they won a hard-fought battle against Cannon County to win the District. Previously on Tuesday, Smith County defeated Watertown in the semifinal while Cannon had shut down York on the same night.
Tuesday, October 20, Smith County will enter Regional play at home against East Robertson while Cannon will travel to face Merrol Hyde.
Head Coach Nicholus Bussell was awarded District Coach of the Year. This was well deserved since he and his staff led an undefeated team through a full season in the current environment of Covid 19 and won the Championship as the cherry on top.

Smith County also brought home four first-team awards. Goalie Junior Anna Vining, Senior Brennan Rigsby, Junior Biz Davis, and 8th grader Kylie Jenkins. Second team Lady Owls were Senior Allexis West, and Sophomore Ciara Jackson. The District MVP was Sophomore Lady Owl Brianna Solomon. It is worthy to note that this team is so full of pure talent across the board that it could be a first-team as a whole. The chemistry, support, selflessness, skill, attitude, and drive of every player is just so special. If you have missed out on witnessing them play, you will want to definitely come support them on Tuesday. This is truly #OneTeam!
