The Smith County Junior League All-Stars show off their state championship banner at the Junior League Southeast Regional Tournament in Broadway, Virginia. Smith County finished 3rd in regional play.

After being crowned Tennessee State Champions last week, the Smith County Junior League All-Stars have finished 3rd in the Southeast Regional Tournament, which was held in Broadway, Virginia, over the weekend.

The All-Stars began regional play with a game against South Carolina on Friday, August 2, 2019, which they won by a score of 9-7. 

On Saturday, August 3, 2019, the boys handily clenched another victory, with a 20-9 win over West Virginia.

On Sunday, August 4, 2019, the All-Stars were bested 7-12 by Florida. 

On Monday, August 5, 2019, the Smith County Junior League All-Stars went head-to-head against South Carolina for the chance to play in the title game. After a tough 4-5 loss to the South Carolina team, Smith County’s regional tournament run came to an end.

This is the first time that a Junior League team from Smith County has appeared in the Southeast Regional Tournament, as well as the first time that a Smith County Junior League team has taken the state title.

The Smith County Junior League All-Stars are Hudson Graber, Kyle Adams, Westen Vance, Kylan Johnson, Abe Goolsby, Ethan Crockett, Ty Martin, TJ Testa, Maddux Bradley, Peyton Hix, Neil Brown, Adam Welsh, and Sam Albritton.

Tracy Mofield is the head coach of the Junior League All-Stars. Assistant coaches are Jeff Crockett and Roscoe Vance.
