Smith County Drug Prevention Coalition to host several events this week

April 23, 2019

The Smith County Drug Prevention Coalition has an exciting week ahead.

The organization is planning two events in the coming days: Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day at the Smith County Senior Center and The Addicted Brain presentation by Tim Hilton.

Free Opioid Overdose Reversal training sessions will be offered at both events.

At Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, you can bring any out of date or unused medicine to the Smith County Senior Center from 9:00 a.m. until noon.

Narcan training will also be free and available at the event.

The Smith County Senior Center is located at 120 Pauline Gore Way in South Carthage.

The Addicted Brain presentation will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. at the Historic Smith County Courthouse.

At this event, Tim Hilton will be coming and speaking on the disease of addiction and the science behind it. This presentation is for everyone! People with or without addictions, people who love those who have addictions, those who work with people who have the disease of addiction, and even those who just want to learn more about his subject. CEU’s are available for this event.
