At the November 16, 2023 meeting of the Financial Management Committee at the small room of the Ag Center, the committee discussed and passed several motions about the qualifications and job posting for the Director of Finance position created by the Financial Management System of 1981.
The committee decided to move forward with the attached qualifications and also to begin accepting applications from within all areas of the county government (County, road department, and Board of Education). The application deadline is December 8th.
The committee also voted to send a budget amendment to the county commission to approve one-half year’s salary and benefits for this position. The salary for this position will be tied to the trustee’s salary, which is currently $86,716, pending approval by the county commission.
The committee will meet again on December 14th.
