
Tennessee kicks off its tax-free weekend on Friday for clothing, school supplies and computers as parents and students gear up for a new school year. Tennessee’s annual school supply sales tax holiday kicks off at 12:01 a.m. Friday and ends on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. For a full list of tax-exempt items, along with information on other sales tax holidays, visit tn.gov/revenue/taxes/sales-and-use-tax/sales-tax-holiday.
Shoppers will get another tax break on food and food ingredients starting at 12:01 a.m. on Aug. 1 through 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 31.
