On Monday and Tuesday nights, May 22-23, the Smith County Sheriff’s Department received several reports of several cars being broke into in the Tanglewood Community. On Monday night, there are reports of three cars being broke into and items stolen in Morris and Hackett Subdivisions. Several items were reported stolen, including cash and a handgun. On Tuesday night, another vehicle was broken into and a second handgun was stolen. A majority of the vehicles that were broken into were unlocked.
