Scotty Yeaman returned home Monday after spending weeks hospitalized while recovering from injuries from a severe automobile wreck.
The two vehicle collision occurred on September 8 on Interstate I-40 in Wilson County.
Mr. Yeaman was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
His injuries unfavorably included a broken neck, arm, back, ribs, clavicle and shoulder.
Also, he suffered bleeding on the brain from cuts sustained to his head.
Mr. Yeaman a sitting member on the Smith County Board of Education and long time retired educator stated he was grateful to be able to return home.
