During the 2015 2016 School year the Smith County High School HOSA club partnered with Monroe Carrel Jr. Childrens Hospital for the Be In The Zone Turn Off Your Phone campaign. The purpose of the campaign was to educate their peers and community about the dangers of distracted driving, with a focus on texting a driving. The students who led the team included:

The recently attended an end of year celebration at the hospital where they were awarded 2nd place over all for Best Campaign.
