Schools Will be Open for Valentine’s Day Deliveries

February 13, 2017

After communication with local pharmacies and doctors offices, the Smith County Board of Education believes there is still a large number of school aged children and employees with illnesses, such as flu, strep, and stomach virus. Because of this, Smith County Schools will remain closed this week. Schools will reopen on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

As a courtesy on Valentine’s Day to local businesses, a school employee will be available tomorrow (2/14/17) from 10am-12pm for deliveries in each Smith County School. They will make every effort to call the parents of those students who have deliveries. Parents may pick gifts up between noon and 1pm.

If you prefer to have your child’s gift delivered to a different place or on the day of return, they urge you to reach out to the business where you placed your order to give them further instructions. They are also asking that if you or a member of your family is sick to refrain from attending school or public events, practices, or ball games until you are well.
