Ribbon cutting and debut of the new digital sign and scoreboard donated to SCMS

On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, Smith County Middle School celebrated the debut of the new digital sign and scoreboard with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The sign and scoreboards were donated to the school by Wilson Bank and Trust. SCMS 8th grade Salutatorian Emma Holliman and 8th grade Valedictorian Chase Collins held the ribbon for principal Kelly Bell to cut.

SCMS administrators and teachers David Silcox, Randy Jennings, Deanna Mullinax and Allison Silcox, Superintendent of Schools Barry Smith along with the SCMS Top Ten Percent and SADD club students participated in the event. Wilson Bank and Trust was represented by Chad Colwell, Andy West and Joseph Reeves. The Smith County Chamber of Commerce Director, Bill Woodard also came out to support the event.
