Estate of Mr. Bill Reece set to be sold at three auctions – Collectibles, Glassware, Furniture and more

The estate of Mr. Bill Reece is set to be sold at three separate auctions, one online and two in person. The online auction runs now thru March 20, 2023. Items include collectibles, glassware, furniture, toys, and more. The two in-person auctions will be held on Saturday, March 18th, at 9 a.m. at the National Guard Armory in Gordonsville and on Saturday, April 8th, at 9 a.m. at 604 College Avenue, Carthage.

Reece, who passed away in January at the age of 72, was a graduate of Smith County High School. He taught art for 21 years and was selected as “Teacher of the Year” twice. Reece directed ten Broadway-style musicals for the Smith County After School Theatre. He also was the founder and director of the Smith County Fine Arts Center housed inside the Historic Courthouse in downtown Carthage.

Reece was a resident of Carthage. He was a former Carthage City Councilman, served on the Smith County Commission, and also as Vice Mayor of Carthage.
