Press Release: Wilson Bank’s Damon Bates Named one of the Nation’s Top Investment Managers by Bank Investment Consultant Magazine

Lebanon, TN – Damon Bates, the investment program manager at Wilson Bank & Trust Investment Services in Lebanon, was named one of Bank Investment Consultant magazine’s Top 30 Program Managers of 2020. Bates is affiliated with the Financial Institutions Division of Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC.

Bates joined Wilson Bank Investment Services in 2015 as a financial advisor, and was promoted to branch
manager in 2017. Bates currently manages a team of 19 investment professionals, including 11 financial
advisors. His team is ranked in the top 20 branches within the financial institution division of Raymond
James. Assets under management at Wilson Bank Investment Services have grown by more than $300 million since 2017 under Bates’ leadership.

In compiling the list BIC’s Top 30 Program Managers, six variables were combined into a weighted average: (1) total team assets under management; (2) growth of team assets; (3) annual team production (4) growth of team annual production; (5) average production per advisor; and (6) number of full-time advisors the program manager directly supervises. Also, in some cases, estimates of production-per-advisor were used by dividing team production by the average number of advisors year-over-year.
