Press Release: Rose Receives “A+” Rating from the Susan B. Anthony List

January 31, 2021

WASHINGTON—Today, U.S. Representative John Rose (TN-06) received an “A+” rating from the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA) National Pro-Life Scorecard. This “A+” rating represents Congressman Rose’s pro-life record during the 116th Congress. “I’m grateful to receive this rating from the SBA List and I pledge to continue to be a voice for the voiceless in Congress, as well as support local pregnancy crisis centers at home,” said Representative Rose. “My appreciation for how previous life is comes from having seen my son born, losing another son prematurely, and now eagerly expecting another child in a matter of weeks. I thank God for the miracle that is life and will work to secure a chance at life for every unborn baby so that we may hear their voice, see their potential, and give them the same basic opportunity at living that we have received ourselves.”

The Susan B. Anthony List is a network of more than 837,000 pro-life Americans nationwide, dedicated to ending abortion by electing national leaders and advocating for laws that save lives, with a special calling to promote pro-life women leaders.

“The right to life is one of the founding principles of our nation. Every human being, born or unborn, is entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Our government was created to secure these rights without exception—not take them away. Caring for both the born and the unborn should not be a partisan issue and we must agree that every human being deserves the right to life,” said Representative Rose.

U.S. Representative John Rose is currently serving his second term representing Tennessee’s Sixth Congressional District and resides in Cookeville with his wife, Chelsea, and their son, Guy. The Sixth District includes Cannon, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, White, and Wilson counties as well as portions of Cheatham and Van Buren counties. Representative Rose is an eighth-generation farmer, small business owner, and currently serves on the Financial Services Committee.
