A Pleasant Shade man on parole out of Texas was arrested after drugs were found in his home during a probation visit last Wednesday.
Jason T. Huffman, 26, was under the supervision of Officer Scott Muncy of the Smith County Sheriff’s Office. Muncy, along with Sgt. Junior Fields, visited his residence at 217 Bowmans Branch Lane in accordance to his probation.
During a search of his basement, marijuana was located, which Huffman admitted to being his.
The marijuana consisted of two bags and two mason jars with over .5 oz of the drug inside, total. A set of digital scales were also found to be in Huffman’s possession.
Huffman was placed under arrest and transported to the Smith County Jail Facility for booking. He was later released on $6,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 21.
He is charged with Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substances (Schedule VI for Resale).
