Planned Drug Deal Leads to Two Arrested in Smith County

On June 1st, 2021, Sgt. Junior Fields made contact with Mr. John A. Hessmer along with Mrs. Natoshia Jordan in the United Methodist Church Parking lot in New Middleton after Mr. Hessmer agreed to bring 1 ounce of crystal methamphetamine in exchange for $700. Mrs. Jordan was with him and had knowledge of the deal. It was also known that Mrs. Jordan was on bond for domestic assault out of Wilson County.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and it revealed 42 Grams of crystal methamphetamine. They were both placed under arrest and transported to the Smith County Jail for processing.

Afterwards, a warrant was obtained to search Mr. Hessmer’s residence. Upon searching the home, 280 grams of crystal meth, 1/4 pound of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property was located.

Mr. Hessmer and Mrs. Jordan were charged with possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mrs. Jordan was additionally charged with violation of court order due to her not being allowed contact with Mr. Hessmer.

Both are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
