The Smith County School Board of Education hosted the first community outreach event called “Social Media and Our Youth” on Thursday, October 13, 2022.at Smith County High School. The event featured information parents should know regarding the trending cell phone apps, tips, software and tools for parents.
The topics for the evening will included:
- The impact of cell phones on our children
- Popular and trending apps, vaults, and lockers
- Tips, software, and tools for providing a safe and monitored digital environment in your home
The expert panel included Johnny Ray Brown, Smith County Mentorship Program and Dr. Angela Lane, Associate Professor of Nursing, Belmont University, TBRI Practitioner.
