(Smith County Insider Press) Gordonsville, Tenn. – Just after 2:00 pm on Thursday afternoon, October 27, Smith County 911 received a call reporting a fire at Bonnell Aluminum in Gordonsville. Bonnell Aluminum is located at 54 Bon L Lane off of Highway 53 in Gordonsville.
Gordonsville Fire Department was dispatched to the scene along with South Carthage Fire Department for backup.
Upon arrival on scene, authorities observed black smoke coming from inside the building. Within minutes, the blaze was extinguished by the sprinkler system. Firefighters entered the building see if there were any people left inside the building.
All employees were evacuated from the building and no injuries were reported.
The fire originated from the paint line department of the building. At this time, it is unknown the extent of damages caused by the fire.
Smith County EMS, Smith County Sheriff’s Department, and Gordonsville Police Department also responded to the call.
