Charlie Edwards dreamed of owning his own business since high school. After obtaining an Associates Degree in Automotive Service and Repair from Alfred State College in Alfred, New York, Charlie moved to Brush Creek in 1999 with his family and began working as a mechanic in Nashville with companies such as Selley’s Automotive, Roadway Trucking, and Waste Management, Inc., where he was fleet maintenance supervisor.
In late 2015, Charlie saw an opportunity to work at home and own his own business when the automotive repair garage in South Carthage formerly owned by Clemons wrecker service went up for sale. After buying the garage in mid-December, 2015, Charlie quit his job and began fixing up the garage with plans to open his new business on February 1, 2016.
And then the new Caney Fork Bridge was suddenly closed in mid-January. Some customers mistakenly thought highway 70 East to his new business was closed even though the road has always remained open to local traffic.
Charlie would like customers to know that he is open for business weekdays 7am-5pm and on Saturday 8am to close.
Charlie, his wife, Nikki, and two sons, Colby and Christopher, live in Brush Creek.
