It was announced this week that Greg Bibb will be the new head coach of the boys basketball team at Gordonsville High School for the 2019-2020 season.

Coach Bibb comes to the Gordonsville program with plenty of experience, having held coaching positions at Pickett County, Van Buren County, Stone Memorial High School, and Smith County High School.

Coach Bibb recently served as head coach of the Smith County Lady Owls basketball team during their 2018-2019 season.

“We are excited about Coach Bibb being our next coach. He has coached in this district before, and he knows how challenging it is, and he is looking forward to the challenge,” said Gordonsville High School principal Shane Vaden.

Coach Bibb will replace Coach Trey Sanders, who has held a coaching position at Gordonsville since 2006.

Coach Bibb expressed enthusiasm about beginning his new journey at Gordonsville.

“I’m excited to get started as the new coach at Gordonsville. While coaching at Pickett County, I always felt it would be one of the best coaching jobs in the region,” he said. “I’m appreciative for the opportunity and ready to get started working with the kids.”
