Narcotics Investigation Leads to Discovery of Meth, Marijuana, Paraphernalia

(Smith County Insider Press) – On May 9, 2019, Sergeants Ridge Long and Terrence Adams with the Smith County Sheriff’s Office conducted a narcotics investigation at a home on Dixon Springs Circle.

According to the police report, Sergeants Long and Adams made contact with the homeowners, Eddie and Lynn Walker. During a search of the home, approximately 0.36 grams of methamphetamine was found along with 2.86 grams of marijuana, a rolled marijuana blunt, ten used syringes, four marijuana pipes, two marijuana grinders, and several baggies containing residue.

According to the police report, during a search of Mrs. Walker’s person, 0.55 grams of methamphetamine was found in her wallet along with a marijuana pipe in the pocket of her pants.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Walker denied ownership of the items, and both are charged with simple possession of narcotics, simple possession of schedule VI, and possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to use.
