Mr. Gage Gibbs
Mr. Gage Gibbs, age 16, of Carthage died Wednesday morning, February 24, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He is survived by: great-grandmother, Louise Gibbs of Carthage; mother, Jeannie Yu-Watson and husband Thomas of Newark, Delaware; father, Dale Gibbs of Carthage; 5 aunts, Teresa McMillan and husband Raymond of South Carthage, Sandy Gibbs of Knoxville, Angie Henry and husband Mike of Gainesboro, Martha Helton of Loudon, Tara Gibbs of Watertown; uncles, Farris Gibbs of Carthage, Roger Gibbs and wife Betty of South Carthage, Robert Yu of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Shane Gibbs of Watertown, Samuel Davis of Watertown, Nathan Gibbs of Illinois; great-grandmother, Ruth Jones and husband Wally of Elkton, Maryland; grandparents, Tina Davis and husband Sammy of Newark, Delaware, half-brother, Roland Barrentine and half-sister, Bella Barrentine both of Newark, Delaware.
Gage is at the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home where his service will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, February 27, at 3:00 PM. Eld. Rickey Hall and Eld. Daniel Tinsley will officiate. Interment in the Smith County Memorial Gardens with Eld. Ricky Day officiating. Ethan Filipovic, Justin Pettross, Brian Holliman, Tyler Hale, Austin Jendras, Isaiah Watts, Tyler Enoch and Xavier Lambert will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will begin on Friday afternoon from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
The family has requested memorials to assist with funeral expenses.
