An arrest was made after a man revealed he had methamphetamine on his person during a traffic stop along Dixon Springs Highway Saturday.
Deputy Nathan Williams with the Smith County Sheriff’s Office was travelling on Dixon Springs Highway when he observed a black Dodge sedan with non-illuminated license place.
Williams initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with three subjects inside.
When asked if he had anything illegal on his person, the back passenger of the vehicle, Zachary Kleisley, pulled out two small individual baggies containing crystal methamphetamine and four and a half oxycodone pills for which he did not have a prescription for.
Kleisley admitted that all of the items were his.
The crystal rocks were field tested and tested positive for methamphetamine. They were then sent to the TBI lab for identification.
Kleisley was placed under arrest and transported to the Smith County Jail Facility for booking.
He is charged with Possession of Schedule II Drug x2.
