A man has been arrested on charges stemming from methamphetamine being discovered during a traffic stop last Saturday.
Junior Fields of the Smith County Sheriff’s Office made a stop on a red 1997 Dodge Ram after observing the vehicle not having an illuminated license plate.
Upon stopping the vehicle, Fields made contact with the driver, 30-year-old Isaac Grisham of Alexandria, and he allegedly admitted that he was in possession of methamphetamine. Grisham was asked to step out of the vehicle, at which point he revealed that said drugs were located inside his shorts zipper area.
Fields was allowed to retrieve said drugs, which was a small bag of methamphetamine.
Grisham was arrested and transported to the Smith County Jail Facility for booking.
Prior to reaching the jail, Fields advised Grisham that if any further drugs were discovered on his person, it would be a felony charge. At that time, Grisham advised he did have another bag of methamphetamine in the same area. A search of the zipper area of his shorts revealed two other baggies containing methamphetamine.
Grisham is charged with Possession of Schedule II with Intent to Sell, Deliver, or Manufacture.
