CARTHAGE—Small business owner and incumbent City Councilman, Matthew Watts, has announced his campaign for a second term to the Carthage City Council. First elected in 2014, the council has accomplished several projects with Watts’ leadership, including the new walking track, water tank, and improvements to both the water and sewer plants.

“With the great progress the City of Carthage has seen in the past four years, I’ve been blessed and honored to see just how much we can accomplish. I hope that with your support and vote, I can help continue this growth and progress of our great town,” Watts said.

Watts is a lifelong resident of Carthage and has one daughter, Margaret (6). He is the owner of 301 IT (formally Digital Square) and attends North Carthage Baptist Church.
