Marty McCaleb announces candidacy for District 3 School Board (New Middleton)

Marty McCaleb, local businessman and Smith County resident announces his bid for the New Middleton District 3 School Board seat.

In kicking off his campaign, McCaleb vows to build on the reputation of success of the school system in the district. He pledges to fight for each and every student and make sure their voices are heard. As a School Board member, McCaleb would eagerly listen to district residents for their issues and concerns.

As a self-made business owner of R.M. McCaleb Transportation, McCaleb understands the value of hard work and determination and will apply these traits in his work on the School Board. McCaleb is also a lifelong resident of Smith County, still living on the family farm he grew up on and is community driven. He is running for School Board to continue his involvement with the ultimate goal of helping his community thrive.

McCaleb has three sons Jake (wife Lauren Nesbitt and grandson Jude), Jonah and Jeremiah and all went through the Smith County public education system. McCaleb is married to Stephanie Hollis McCaleb. He served on the Smith Co. Election Commission, is a member of the Tennessee Cattle Association as well as being a Gideon.

McCaleb would like to ask everyone for their vote and support. Election Day is August 2, 2018. Early voting is July 13, 2018 – July 28, 2018.
