On December 24th, 2022, Sergeant Ridge Long was dispatched to 60 Lancaster Circle to investigate a call reporting an unknown man walking onto the caller’s front porch. The caller reported the man was looked like he was hallucinating. After contact was made with the man, he was identified as Mr. Anthony M Stone. Officer Long observed Stone being very anxious and having muscle tremors. When Stone was asked questions he would respond with random spells of irritability where he would yell and curse. Stone also stated that someone was trying to kill him, which led to more questions.
Since Stone seemed to be exhibiting the behaviors of someone who is under the influence of methamphetamine, Sgt. Long asked Mr. Stone when was the last time he used meth. Stone stated he was unsure. As a result of Stone showing signs of intoxication and being a danger to himself he was taken to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office for booking. After a search of Stone’s person at the office, one gram of methamphetamine was found in Stone’s shoe.
