Richard A. Petty
(Smith County Insider Press) Gordonsville, Tenn. – On September 6, Richard A. Petty was arrested and charged with statutory rape by an authority figure and incest.
According to the arrest warrant, Petty was interviewed by Smith County Sheriff’s Office Detectives. During the interview, Petty admitted that he did sexual relations with a minor on several occasions.
As of Monday morning, September 11, Petty remains incarcerated at the Smith County Jail Facility. Petty’s bond is $180,000.
