Man Arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine

(Smith County Insider Press) – On Tuesday, April 26, Deputy Nathan Williams encountered a man walking along Dixon Springs Highway while on normal patrol. Williams stopped to check on the man.

The man was identified as Robert E. Fisher III. Williams proceeded to ask Fisher if he had any weapons or drugs on his person, to which he stated no.

Upon emptying his pockets, Fisher revealed a white, unlabeled pill bottle. Inside the bottle was white residue and small crystal rocks that appeared to be methamphetamine. Also on Fisher’s person was a white straw, hidden inside his ball cap.

The straw had white residue on it. The substance was field tested and returned positive for methamphetamine.

The white powder substance was sent to the TBI lab for identification.

Fisher has been charged with Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine) and is to appear before the court of Smith County General Sessions.
