Updated at 10:12 a.m. on April 30, 2020, to include additional candidates running for U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.
Voters in Smith County will have the next opportunity to head to the polls on Thursday, August 6, 2020.
Voters will cast their votes in the State Primary Election, County General Election, and South Carthage Municipal Election.
Early voting for the August election will be held from July 17, 2020 thru August 1, 2020.
At the state level, the following offices will appear on the ballot: U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives – 6th District, TN House of Representatives – 40th District.
At the county level, Smith County citizens will vote for Circuit Court Judge – Division II, Public Defender, Assessor of Property, and Road Superintendent. Additionally, voters in Districts 1, 5, 6, and 8 will vote for a County Commissioner, and voters in Districts 1, 2, 5, and 7 will elect a School Board member.
Voters who live in South Carthage will vote for an Alderman in Ward 1 and Ward 2.
