On Thursday, March 3, Sergeant Junior Fields arrived at the parking lot of the Brush Creek Pentecostal Church to assist Deputy Nick Gillilan in locating the VIN number on a motorcycle. Joshua Biever and Kelsey Cline were at the location loading the motorcycle into a UHAUL truck. At that time, Sergeant Fields noticed Kelsey Roberts sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle with trash lying outside the car door.
Upon speaking to her he noticed the smell of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. He advised her that he was the K-9 Officer and could deploy his K-9 for a free air sniff. The passenger of the vehicle, Kelsey Cline, admitted to having marijuana inside the vehicle. A search revealed a set of digital scales and half an ounce of crystal methamphetamine. Roberts admitted to having sold a gram of meth for $100 in Kentucky. Upon Checking for warrants it was found that she was in fact wanted out of Daviess County Kentucky for violation of probation.
Kelsey Cline was issued a state citation for simple possession of a Schedule VI drug by Deputy Nick Gillilan.
Kelsey Roberts was arrested and is charged with being a fugitive from justice, possession of a Schedule II drug, and drug paraphernalia. She is being held without bond.
