On April 10th, Ms. Jimi Box was taken into custody from court. Ms. Box overdosed in Jail. Several units of Narcan were administered to Ms. Box to get her back to normal levels of breathing.
After a search of her cell a crystal substance was found in her bedding mat. While the nurse and Sergeant Kincaid was tending to Ms. Box, she retrieved a bag of a crystal substance from her vagina. During an interview Ms.Box stated she knew she was going to be arrested and wanted to stash the bag for that reason. The substance was later identified as a meth and fentanyl mixed with heroin.
Statements were obtained from the corrections officers and the nurse. The drugs were bagged and sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for analysis.
