(Smith County Insider Press) Carthage, Tenn. – Around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night, June 26, Smith County 911 received a call reporting a potential structure fire at the corner of Jefferson Avenue East and Turner Street in Carthage. Carthage Fire Department was dispatched to the scene, along with Smith County Sheriff’s Department, Smith County EMS, and Upper Cumberland Electric.
Upon arrival on scene, authorities found a single story home engulfed in flames. According to the Tennessee Property Data website, the home belongs to Eric Maxwell. The physical address of the home is 101 Hillview Drive – Carthage, TN 37030.
It is unknown at this time if there were any occupants inside the home at the time of the blaze.
