Helping Hearts Fundraiser Pageant to benefit Waggin’ Tails set for August 29, 2020

July 23, 2020

This year’s Helping Hearts Fundraiser Pageant will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at the Smith County Ag Center.

Proceeds from this year’s pageant will benefit Waggin’ Tails. This organization was chosen in memory of fallen Officer Steve Reece, who had a passion for animals and was affectionately known as the “animal whisperer” because of all the animals he rescued while on duty.

The Entry Fee for the Helping Hearts Fundraiser Pageant is $40. The pageant is open to females of all ages and males up to the age of 6.

Contestants can participate in these additional electives for $5 each:

  • Prettiest Eyes
  • Best Dressed
  • Best Smile
  • Best Personality
  • Most Beautiful/Handsome
  • Most Photogenic

Pageant entry forms can be picked up and turned in at Mandi’s Salon and Spa or South Side Tanning Salon. Click here to download a PDF version of the entry form.

An ambassador trophy will be give to the contestant who donates the most animal items (dog food, toys, beds, etc.). Donations may be dropped off at Mandi’s Salon and Spa before the pageant or brought to the Ag Center on the day of the pageant.

Contestants can sign up to participate in the pageant until one hour before the designated time that their division begins.

Social distancing recommendations will be followed, only one small group of contestants will participate per hour, and thorough cleaning will take place throughout the day. Vendor tables will be spaced 6 feet apart. Masks are welcome but not mandatory.

Please call or text Pageant Coordinator Mandi Myers at 615-735-7055 with any questions.
