Colby McKinney is a life-long resident of Smith County and currently resides in the Gordonsville community with his wife, Jessica and their three dogs.
He graduated from Gordonsville High School in 2012 and immediately went to work at DTC Communications in their video production department. During the same year, he started his first business, Colby Mac Productions, which provides videography, audio production and marketing services. While continuing to manage Colby Mac Productions, in 2015, he founded Smith County Insider, an online news media outlet in Smith County, Tennessee.
In 2019, Colby helped launch a new digital billboard business in Middle Tennessee called MediaMax Digital Advertising, where he currently serves as the managing partner.
Colby is a long-time and active member of Carthage Benevolent Lodge #14, Southside Lions Club, and Smith County Noon Rotary Club. He currently serves as the chairman of the Gordonsville Events Committee, a non-profit that organizes and hosts the Gordonsville Halloween Bash and the Gordonsville Community-Wide Easter egg hunt. He also served on the executive board of the Smith County Heritage Museum from 2016 until 2021. He is also a member of The River Community Church in Cookeville.
Colby has always loved Smith County and the Upper Cumberland Region, and he is looking forward to serving its residents by assisting them with any of their real estate needs.
When asked why he wanted to be a realtor, Colby stated, “I love marketing and serving people. I couldn’t think of a better way to use my experience in marketing and my love for helping my friends and neighbors, than to help them market, sell or buy what may be the biggest investment of their life. I know first hand that a real estate transaction can be overwhelming and I want to do everything in my power to make the buying and selling process as easy as possible for all of my clients.”
