The Gordonsville Tigers long road trip to Fayetteville started off on the wrong foot, with the Tigers going down 8-0 just over a minute and a half into the game.
The Tigers were unable to bounce back in the first quarter, with Fayetteville scoring to start the second quarter and put Gordonsville down 14-0.
Gordonsville was able to narrow the gap with 5 minutes left in the first half off of a 1 yard rush by Tyler Gregory to make it 14-7.
Gordonsville was able to tie it up in the second half, when Tyler Gregory ran it in from six yards out to make the score 14-14 with 7 minutes left in the third quarter.
The Tigers were able to complete the comeback and take the lead after a deep pass from Matthew Albritton to Landon Baker set the Tigers in good position and Gregory was able to run it in for his 3rd touchdown of the night to give Gordonsville a 21-14 lead, which they were able to hold onto and win the game to advance to 5-2 on the year.
