Gordonsville rolls over Red Boiling Springs, 56-7

The Gordonsville Tigers got the job done on Friday night against the Red Boiling Springs Bulldogs, winning 56-7 at home.

Gordonsville got the scoring going early, scoring from a 40 yard touchdown pass from Tyler Gregory to Wyatt Pemberton with in the first minute and a half of the game, but a missed PAT kept the score at 6-0.

The Tigers found the end zone again with 5 minutes left in the first quarter off of a 8 yard Darrel Holt run to make the score 13-0, and then scoring two more touchdowns in the next four minutes in the form of a 43 yard touchdown pass from Matthew Albritton to Andrew Vaden and another Holt rush for a touchdown to make the score 27-0 in the first quarter.

The Tigers offense was able to keep the scoring going in the second half, with Tyler Gregory running it in on a quarterback keeper, but a bad snap on the PAT kept the score at 33-0.

Gordonsville was able to find the end zone three minutes later off of a 40 yard rush by Michael McKinley for a touchdown to advance the lead to 40-0 in the second quarter and wrap uo the scoring in the first half.

With the clock running, due to the score difference neither team scored in the third quarter, but Gordonsville made their way back to the end zone in the fourth off a Austin Schaeffer touchdown run from a couple yards out to put the Tigers ahead 47-0.

Three minutes later the Tigers were able to force a safety as Drew Agee sacked the quarterback, making the score 49-0. Kyle Adams scored on the ensuing drive on a 32 yard run off of a quarterback keeper to make the score 56-0.

Red Boiling Springs notched a touchdown in the closing minutes of the game to avoid the shut out, but the winner had been decided a long time before that, with the Tigers advancing to 4-2
