Gordonsville High School’s annual STEM Night was held October 8. Students in grades 5 thru 8, as well as their parents, participated in the fall carnival-themed night.
Potatoes were launched, ooey-gooey blood slime was made and GHS baseball players were soaked in the Math Dunk Tank, sponsored by Wilson Bank and Trust. Not only that, but Edgar Evins brought a variety of creatures, including snakes, for students to view.
No one went hungry because hotdogs, drinks and chips were available for purchase. Tennessee Tech’s Chemistry Department also served up a bite of liquid nitrogen ice cream.
High school students, who assisted with stations and booths, earned volunteer hours.
Gordonsville High School would like to thank Tennessee Tech, Edgar Evins, Caney Fork Farms, as well as several teachers for assisting and participating this year. The STEM Night was sponsored by DTC and Wilson Bank and Trust.
