Alli Bryant
Alexandra Bryant is the valedictorian of the 2020 graduating class of Gordonsville High School. She is the daughter of Amanda Bryant of Gordonsville and Phillip Bryant of Greenwood, IN. The granddaughter of Phyllis Baker, Dan and Betty Croslin, the late Barbara Bryant, and the late Gary and Faye Bryant. She is a member of Carthage United Methodist Church. Alli has been involved in the National Beta Club, STEM Club President, Art Club President, Student Council President, Chemistry Club, Yearbook staff. Her Honors include Purdue IUPUI Power Graduate. She frequently volunteers with Church youth group, Scream Factory, Food Drives, BETA clean-up after football games, and High School tutoring. Alli plans to attend Tennessee Tech University and pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering and work for NASA.
Carson Pope
Carson Pope ranks 2nd in the 2020 graduating class. He is the son of Paul and Felicia Pope of Brush Creek. The grandson of Doyle and Willette Webster, and Susie Pope and the late Jackie Pope. He is a member of New Middleton Baptist Church where he is the assistant worship leader. Carson has been involved in the Beta Club, STEM Club, FCA, and a 4 year member of the Marching Band. His Honors include Boys State Representative, Directors Award for band, 2nd place in Science Division 2 at the State BETA conference and Governors School. He frequently volunteers with the BETA clean-up after football games and his church. Carson plans to attend Tennessee Tech University and pursue a career in Electrical Engineering, he will also be joining the Jazz band.
Trinity Davis
Trinity Davis ranks 3rd in the 2020 graduating class. She is the daughter of Trey and Tanya Davis of Gordonsville. The granddaughter of Bobby and Lurlie Davis, Fred and Vickie Sicllia, and Gregg Vance. She attends Hickman Baptist Church. Trinity has been involved in the Beta Club, Interact Club, FCA leadership team, and Yearbook staff. Her Honors include Girls State Delegate. She frequently volunteers with Interact club community service projects. Trinity plans to attend Tennessee Tech University to pursue a career in Secondary Education.
Matthew Jones
Matthew Jones ranks 4th in the 2020 graduating class. He is the son of Chris and Susan Klamm and the late Allan Jones of Carthage. The grandson of Taylor and Brenda Boyd, Earl and Phyliss Davis, Ronnie and Judy Jones. He is a member of Carthage Church of Christ. Matthew has been involved in the BETA, Chemistry, Blue and White and FCA club, 4 year member of the Basketball team, and 4 year member of the Baseball team. His Honors include Boys State Representative, Mayor for the day, and District 6A 2 team Defensive team and All Tournament team. He frequently volunteers with the Baseball Haunted House, Care Package for Troops and Sponsor room for Emmanuel House. Matthew plans to attend Tennessee Tech University for a bachelor degree and then attend Belmont or Lipscomb for his PhD and pursue a career in Pharmacy.
Jacob Lambert
Jacob Lambert ranks 5th in the 2020 graduating class. He is the son of Dewayne and Heather Lambert of South Carthage. The grandson of Ricky and Linda Lambert, Clifton and Pamela Craighead. He is a member of South Carthage Missionary Baptist Church. Jacob has been involved in the BETA, HOSA, and FCCLA Club, and a 4 year member of the Golf team. His Honors include FCCLA 2017 1st place at District and State level and 3rd place at the National level with his project on Action on Human Trafficking, FCCLA 2018 2nd place at State level and 6th place at the National level with his project on Action on Domestic Violence, FCCLA 2019 2nd place at State level and 11th place at the National level with his project on Child Abuse and its correlation with the Opiod Crisis, placed 2nd at the 2019 HOSA Bowl and TCAT Certified Nursing Assistant Program graduated with CNA Certification. Jacob plans to attend Tennessee Tech University and pursue a career in Business.
Colette Turner
Colette Alexandra Turner ranks 6th in the 2020 graduating class. She is the daughter of Tommy and Susie Turner of Hickman. The granddaughter of the late James Turner, the late James Hall and Sue Turner Hall, the late Donnie Keaton, and Larry and Karen Duke. She attends Hickman Baptist Church. Colette has been involved in the Beta, FFA, Interact, and HOSA Club, FCA Leadership, member of the Smith County Cattleman’s Association, Tennessee Cattleman’s, and Tennessee Charolaise Association. Her Honors include Chapter and State FFA degree, and Tennessee Scholar. She frequently volunteers with her church VBS and Interact Club. Colette plans to attend Cumberland University and pursue a career in Nursing.
Samantha Carrick
Samantha Carrick ranks 7th in the 2020 graduating class. She is the daughter of Robert Carrick and Amanda Unsell of Gordonsville. The granddaughter of Sue Carrick, Cathy Marshall and Bruce Unsell. Samantha has been involved in the Beta, Chemistry, and Book Club. She frequently volunteers with Christmas Nursing Home donations. Samantha plans to attend University of Kentucky and pursue a career in Chemical Engineering.
Adylise Nicholas
Adylise Nicholas ranks 8th in the 2020 graduating class. She is the daughter of Rachel True of Brush Creek. The granddaughter of Bill and Deb Barrick. Adylise has been involved in the BETA Club, yearbook staff, and a 4 year member of the Marching Band. Her Honors include Girls State Delegate. Adylise plans to attend Ithaca College and pursue a career Film and Photography.
Kacie Malone
Kacie Malone ranks 9th in the 2020 graduating class. She is the daughter of Sammy and Nancy Malone of Brush Creek. The granddaughter of Dwayne and Barbara Cantrell, and the late Gaston and Carolyn Malone. She attends Malone’s Chapel Baptist Church. Kacie has been involved in the FFA, HOSA, Interact, and Blue & White Club for the last 4 years, FCA &BETA club for 6 years, 4-H for 9 years, 5 year member Golf team, 4 year member of the Softball team, a member of Smith County Cattleman’s Association, Tennessee Cattleman’s Association, and American Black Hereford Association. Her Honors include current Co-President of FFA, FFA state degree, Tennessee Scholar, and Golf State Qualifier for 2018 & 2019. She frequently volunteers with her church, Rotary Club Pancake breakfast and No strings attached Puppet Ministry. Kacie plans to attend Tennessee Tech University and pursue a career as a RN Nurse.
Trenten Shores
Trenten Shores ranks 10th in the 2020 graduating class. He is the son of Terry and Jennifer Shores of Gordonsville. The grandson of Pat and Melinda Cothron, Eddie and Nickie Shores. Trenten has been involved in BETA, and STEM club and a member of the Marching Band. His Honors include Boy Scouts of America, and Boys State. Trenten plans to attend Cumberland University or Tennessee Tech University and pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering.
