Bradi Faith Baker is the valedictorian of the 2016 graduating class of Gordonsville High School. She is the daughter of David and Mary Baker Jr. and Marcie and Randy Smith and the granddaughter of David and Mildred Baker Sr, Barbara Boooks and the late Troy Brooks, and Jimmy and Jane Trainham, and Bob and Joanna Crockett. She is a member of Hillcrest Baptist church. Bradi has been involved in the Beta Club for 8 years, Vice President for 1 year, Yearbook staff, Math, Science, Spanish club, HOSA, Student Council, Varsity Cheerleader and Basketball Manager. Her Honors include Miss Freshman, Honor Roll, Yearbook Homecoming Representative Junior Year, ALA Volunteer Girls State Delegate Junior Year and Senior Homecoming Representative, Physics Award, Chemistry Award, Algebra II Award, and Biology Award. She frequently volunteers with Stomp MS run, Ronald McDonald house, Beta Club Events, and Impact Ministries Nazarene Choir. Bradi plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville to major in biology with a minor in Spanish in order to become a Trauma Surgeon.
Robin Anne Hord is the salutatorian of the 2016 graduating class of Gordonsville High School. She is the daughter of Rob and Annette Hord and the granddaughter of Garry and Jeanne Nesbitt, Dianna Holleman, the late Johnny Hord. She is a member of South Carthage Missionary Baptist Church. Robin Anne has been involved in the Smith Co. Youth Leadership, S. Beta & Interact Club, Science, Math, Spanish, HOSA, FBLA, Outdoor, FCA, Blue & White Club. Prom Committee, Homecoming attendant, Junior Class Reporter, Math Contest, Varsity Softball and Basketball. Her Honors include Miss Sophomore, Miss Junior, Southside Lions Club Essay Winner, HOSA Award, Computer Application Award, 2013 GHS Softball Team-State Runner up, 2014 GHS Softball Team-State Champions, 2014 GHS 1st Team All District softball, 2015 All Academic Softball Team, 2015 All State Class A-TN Sports writers association, 2015 All state Class A-TN softball Coaches Association, 2015 GHS Basketball-Most Consistent for Basketball Season and voted Future Principal of GHS by the senior class. She frequently volunteers with Team Tenpenny Fall Fest benefit, The Rotary Club, South Carthage Church Youth Outings to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Rotary Club Pancake Breakfast – Interact, Smith County Backpack program, St. Jude’s Hospital Penny Drive, Nashville Rescue Mission, Haley’s Heart Foundation 5K. Robin Ann plans to attend Cumberland University to major in biology with a focus area in Pre-Pharmacy and play softball. She then plans to attend pharmacy school to become a clinical pharmacist.
Delani Harrelson ranks 3th in the 2016 graduating class. She is the daughter of Michael and Sheila Wood, and Steve and Mel Harrelson. She is the granddaughter of Lorraine Olson and Alyne Shelby, and the Great Granddaughter of Delores Wood. She is a member of Believers Chapel non-denominational church. Delani has been involved in FCA, Science, Math, Book, Stripes Club, Beta Club President, FFA president, Interact officer, Tiger TV editor, Girls State, Cannon County Theatre productions of Jungle Book and Bring it on, SCHS girl’s soccer team, GHS cheerleader, Senior class reporter. Her Honors include Owl Pride Award for soccer, FFA district winner of creed speaking competition. She frequently volunteers with the interact club on different volunteer projects. Delani plans to attend MTSU to major in nursing with a minor in Mathematics and Marketing; and then attend school in Nashville to study anesthetics to become a Nurse Anesthetist.
Kevin Webb ranks 4th in the 2016 graduating class. He is the son of Michael and Tina Driver and Keith Webb and the grandson of Anita and Frank Maberry. He is a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Kevin has been involved in Beta, S.T.E.M, SADD, Interact, Art Club. His Honors include Engineering award, Blue Honor Roll, voted Most Opinionated by the senior class. He frequently volunteers with the Drug prevention coalition. Kevin places to attend MTSU to major in Forensics.
Leah Jingst ranks 5th in the 2016 graduating class. She is the daughter of Andy and Amy Jingst and the granddaughter of Art and Ann Jingst and Mary Jo Pulaski. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Gordonsville. Leah has been involved in FCCLA and vice president for 1 year, and HOSA president for 1 year, and on the volleyball team for 1 year. Leah plans to attend Vol State for 2 years and transfer to Cumberland University.
Taylor Beth Mofield ranks 6th in the 2016 graduating class. She is the daughter of Daniel and Crystal Mofield and the granddaughter of Wayne and Teresa Mofield and Ricky and Jeanie Grisham. She is a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Taylor Beth has been involved in Beta, Spanish, Science, Math, and Blue and White club, Tiger TV, Varsity Cheerleader Captain. Her Honors include Blue Honor roll, and voted Social Butterfly by the senior class. She frequently volunteers with her Youth group and other school clubs. Taylor Beth plans to attend Tennessee Tech University and major in Business Management.
Peyton Glover ranks 7th in the 2016 graduating class. He is the son of Gary and Laurie Glover and the grandson of Bobby and Louise Glover and Wayne and Peggy Harpe. He is a member of Macedonia the Baptist Church of Christ. Peyton has been involved in Interact club President, Beta, Spanish, HOSA, FBLA Club, Senior class President, Prom Committee, Clinical Internship Program, His Honors include Boys State Representative, Highest class average in Accounting, Anatomy and Physiology and Rehab Careers. Perfect Attendance – 4 years, voted always laughing and smiling by the senior class. He frequently volunteers with Smith County Backpack program, and Kids Central Volunteer. Peyton plans to attend MTSU to major in the medical field.
Shelby West ranks 8th in the 2016 graduating class. She is the daughter of Mark and Shannon West and the granddaughter of David and Peggy Clemons. She is a member of Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Shelby has been involved in Inertact Club and Secretary for 2 years, Beta, HOSA, Spanish, FCA, FBLA, Science, Math, Outdoor, Blue and White, and FFA Clubs, Student Council, and Choir. Her Honors include Homecoming Representative for Beta club and Blue and White Club, Honor Roll, Varsity Softball, District MVP, Tournament MVP, All district 3-years, All tournament 3-years, All Academic Team softball, Varsity Volleyball player, District MVP, All District, All tournament, voted always laughing and smiling by the senior class. She frequently volunteers with Backpack program, Kidz Central, Rotary Pancake breakfast, Upwards Basketball, and Lighthouse Christian Camp. Shelby plans to attend Tennessee Tech University and major in Pre-Pharmacy program.
Tenille Williams ranks 9th in the 2016 graduating class. She is the daughter of Danny and Tammy William and the granddaughter Wilma Williams and the late David Williams, and Peggie and Doug Parrish, and Freeman Law She is a member of Church of the Nazarene. Tenille has been involved in Beta, Spanish, FBLA, FCA Clubs and GHS Yearbook staff. Her Honors include Smith County Youth Leadership, National Society of Leadership, 13 years Perfect Attendance, Miss Senior GHS, Honor Roll 13 years, Highest class average in Anatomy and Physiology, awarded Prettiest smile, 1st place vocal ensemble, 2nd place vocal duet. She frequently volunteers with Backpack program, Church events and VBS. Tenille plans to attend Tennessee Tech University and become a Ultrasound Sonographer.
Katlyn Ray ranks 10th in the 2016 graduating class. She is the daughter of Chris and Trudy Ray and the granddaughter of James and Neal Willams. She is a member of Lighthouse Church. Katlyn has been involved in Beta, Blue and White, FBLA, Math, and Science Clubs, Varsity Volleyball and Softball. Her Honors include Honor Roll, Miss GHS, All district 2 – years in Volleyball, All district 1 – year in softball and All academic team 1 – year in softball. She frequently volunteers with the Lion’s Club, Ronald McDonald house, Vanderbilt Children’s hospital and homeless shelters.
