On Friday, July 8th Brooke and Randal McCormick, of Carthage, were married on the Rotary Stage at the Smith County Fair. The ceremony took place just before the performance by the band Tennessee Outlaws. Friends and family came out to the Fair to support the couple and enjoy some fun at the fair.
According to the Smith County Fair Board Chairman, Stan Webster this is the first. He was made aware of the ceremony earlier in the day. The couple said they decided at the spur of the moment to do something different. A friend in the Tennessee Outlaw Band helped arrange the time. Bro. Lloyd Schroeter, of the Justified Riding Club officiated the ceremony. A plan came together in under a day.
Another interesting first at the 2022 Fair was a gender reveal celebration by Malorie and Anthony Hopkins for the pending arrival of their daughter. The event was posted live on Facebook by our local radio station 104.1 The Ranch and received thousands of views.
