Come one, come all to the 2019 Smith County Fair on the River!
The Smith County Fair officially begins TONIGHT, Monday, July 1, and will continue through Saturday, July 6.
Tonight, gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the Carnival, provided by James Gang Amusements, opens at 5:00 p.m.
Monday night is Veterans’ Night, so the fair will offer FREE admission for all veterans and their spouses.
Armbands for the carnival can be purchased for $15.
Fair festivities will begin with Opening Ceremonies, featuring a performance by the Gordonsville High School Band, at 4:30 p.m. The night will continue with the Veterans Flag Retirement Ceremony at 5:00 p.m.
Then, don’t miss the Miss Fairest of the Fair (Ages 16-20) Pageant and the Flat Track 4-Wheeler Races, both at 6:00 p.m.
David Turner and Friends – Ventriloquist will take the stage at Wilson Bank Community Kids Stage at 6:30 p.m. and again at 8:00 p.m.
At 7:00 p.m. the Kids Olympics will begin, and Travis Alltop and Friends will perform at the Carthage Rotary Club Music Stage.
Next, you can watch the Miss Teen Fairest of the Fair (Ages 13-15) pageant at 8:00 p.m.
The night will end with a $500 Cash Giveaway at 9:15 p.m.
