Fire Destroys Mobile Home on Ballenger Road

(Smith County Insider Press) On Monday night, April 4, Smith Count 911 received a call reporting a mobile home fire around the 100 block of Ballenger Road. 911 Dispatcher paged Central District and Rock City/Rome Fire Departments to respond to the call just after 10 p.m.

Within minutes, authorities arrived on scene at 102 Ballenger Road to find a single-wide mobile home engulfed in flames. After a short time, firefighters controlled the blaze. No one was injured in the fire and all of the occupants of the home made it out safely. According to the Tennessee Property Assessment website, the mobile home was recently purchased Joshua H. Bly.
