(Smith County Insider Press) South Carthage, Tenn. – Around 7:30pm Wednesday, April 26, Smith County 911 received a call reporting a structure fire around the 400 block of Lebanon Highway. Rock City/Rome and Central District Fire Departments were dispatched to the scene.
When authorities arrived on scene, they found a single story home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters were on scene for around three hours, until the fire was completely extinguished.
The home was located at 4 Badger Lane off of Lebanon Highway.
One lane of Lebanon Highway was shut down while firefighters fought the fire. The home was completely destroyed by the blaze.
According to the Tennessee Property Data website, the home belongs to Paul L Sloan. No one was home at time of the fire and no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. See photos below:
